Services
Cardiology is the core of this clinic. We also manage the chronic conditions that raise cardiovascular risk, and provide general internal medicine care.
Cardiac symptoms
These symptoms need their cause identified first. The same complaint may come from an arrhythmia, a valve problem, coronary disease or heart failure — and the treatment differs.
Chest pain
A squeezing or pressing sensation, especially one that worsens with activity.
Palpitations
An irregular or suddenly racing pulse — possible arrhythmia.
Breathlessness
Unusual shortness of breath on stairs or slopes — screening for heart failure.
Fainting · Dizziness
Light-headedness on standing; we check for bradycardia and blood pressure abnormalities.
If chest pain lasts more than 15 minutes, or comes with cold sweats or difficulty breathing, call 119 before travelling to the clinic.
Cardiovascular risk factors
We judge from the trend of your numbers rather than a single reading. Medication started at another clinic can be continued here — please bring your previous records or a list of what you are taking.
Hypertension
Blood pressure measurement and medication adjustment, with ECG and blood tests to check for target organ damage.
Diabetes
Fasting glucose and HbA1c tracked over time, with complication screening. A structured monthly glucose management programme is available.
Dyslipidaemia
Lipid levels assessed together with overall cardiovascular risk to decide on medication.
Thyroid disease
Hormone levels checked and dosage adjusted for hypo- and hyperthyroidism.
General internal medicine
For symptoms that started within the past few days. Mornings are usually quieter.

Chest symptoms should not wait
Chest pain and palpitations need to be traced to a cause. Call us and we will tell you which tests are possible and how long they take.
