Shingles

Shingrix and SkyZoster available. Generally recommended from age 50.

Pneumococcus

Prevnar 13. Adults aged 65 and over can receive the 23-valent vaccine at public health centres and designated clinics.

Influenza

Quadrivalent vaccine each autumn.

Hepatitis A

Havrix or Avaxim. Two doses, 6–12 months apart, from age 1. Recommended for adults without immunity, since infection in adulthood is considerably more severe.

Hepatitis B

Three doses on a 0-1-6 month schedule (some products 0-1-2). Booster doses are not currently recommended after the primary series.

Tetanus · Diphtheria

Td booster, recommended every 10 years for adults.

Before you come

Booking

The clinic works on a walk-in basis, but call ahead for anything requiring fasting or a specific vaccine.

Bring with you

  • Photo ID or Alien Registration Card
  • Health insurance details
  • Current medications
  • Previous vaccination or check-up records

When to postpone

Vaccination is deferred if you have a fever or an acute infection on the day.

Chest symptoms should not wait
