The doctor

MD, PhD · Internal Medicine · Cardiologist
Won Dong-jun, Director of Medi-won Clinic
Medi-won Clinic opened on 19 September 2012. The twenty years before that were spent in general hospitals and in training abroad, and that experience is what I bring to preventing illness and looking after the health of the people who come here.
An old saying holds that a physician who treats only the disease is a lesser physician; one who treats the person is a middling physician; and one who treats the world is a great physician.
I try to practise as the second of those — keeping faith with each person who walks in, and looking after their health for the long term rather than for a single visit.
This clinic keeps university-hospital grade cardiac equipment so that people living with heart disease can be examined close to home, comfortably, by a doctor who knows their history.
Questions are welcome, and I would rather answer them fully than send you away uncertain.

How this clinic practises
Reasons are explained
Why a test is needed, why a medication is being changed — said before it happens, so no one leaves with a prescription they do not understand.
Only the tests that are needed
Tests unrelated to your symptoms are not recommended. Please bring results from any recent examination elsewhere.
Referral at the right moment
When a case goes beyond what a clinic should handle, it is referred without delay.
Care given with sincerity
Please ask anything you are unsure about during your consultation. For questions before visiting, call us.
